| Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor hit headlines as the first (official) Bollywood couple of 2018, and we want to take full credit for breaking the news to you first. The two first started spending time together during the shooting schedule for Brahmāstra, and were spotted together several times through Israel to Bulgaria, which is where parts of the film were being shot—and this was more than enough to set the grapevine abuzz. Kapoor and Bhatt refuted their relationship status for months, much like most other tinsel town couples, but finally committed to it in mid-2018. They attended Sonam K Ahuja’s Mumbai reception together in May, and Alia Bhatt even posted a picture with Kapoor from the event on her Instagram profile. Soon enough, Kapoor admitted to the relationship in GQ India’s June cover story as well, saying, It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. |
